Local authorities

There are more and more electrically-powered vehicles driving on European roads.

Building a network of charging stations is a necessity not only for urban infrastructure.

The shortage of electric car chargers is still a challenge.

The energy transition is having an avalanche effect, so the number of electric cars on European roads is increasing by the minute.

From 2035 onwards, it will be impossible to buy a new car with an internal combustion engine, and more and more cities are choosing to close the centre to cars that are not zero-emissions.

Local authorities

Municipalities are responsible for the supply of electricity. The Eway station network is an effective solution for local authorities.

Moreover, the all-round Eway solution will provide your municipality with tangible financial benefits.

  • the municipality’s profit is revenue less the cost of energy purchase and Eway operator fee
  • the municipality can make money from the sale of energy and other services associated with the charging station (advertising, power market, additional charge for parking)
  • the municipality can sell electricity produced from its own energy sources at charging stations
  • the municipality can implement its own pricing policy - charging rates with the option of user identification and tariff differentiation (the station owner decides what rates apply to residents, visitors, employees or during municipal events)

  • the municipality does not have to bear the costs of regular certification and depreciation associated with an external payment terminal - Eway stations are equipped with a virtual SoftPos payment terminal and transactions are settled in a secure virtual server
  • the municipality can amortise the cost of charging station purchase and save on contracted power and the costly infrastructure involved in building a fast charging station (the purchase of 1 DC station including infrastructure is equivalent to around 20 AC stations, with a range of 60 to 120 parking spaces instead of 2 parking spaces as in the case of a DC station)

Eway is a comprehensive solution, from production, to installation, to full operating, accounting and financial service.

Eway stations are:

  • self-service and do not generate additional costs
  • manufactured in Poland, meeting the highest European safety standards
  • corrosion-resistant, made of acid-resistant steel
  • designed to save contracted power and do not require the construction of a separate transformer - the installed software allows you to manage power, which means that contracted power will not be exceeded even if several cars are charged at the same time*
  • constructed from high-quality components manufactured in the EU and the USA, further minimising the risk of supply chain disruptions and delays
  • able to issue e-invoices and e-receipts

* The need for infrastructure expansion depends on the technical capacity of the given facility.

The convenience of local residents is good PR for the local authorities.

The majority of recharges take place in the car park by the home or place of work. Electric vehicles are charged in those places where they are parked for longer periods of time.

It is simple: the easier the chargers are to use, the more satisfied users will be.

Eway users have access to:

  • convenient 10” touchscreen display with intuitive interface
  • 5 language versions
  • ... and all this without any apps - contactless payment is made by card, smartphone, smartwatch

Eway electric car charging stations reach up to 6 parking spaces. They are equipped with charging cables or sockets, and their external appearance can be customised. All Eway stations can be installed indoors and in open spaces.
